North Carolina Industrial Commission (NCIC)
The NCIC administers workers’ compensation claims as well as tort claims against the state of North Carolina. The Commission currently processes more than 63,000 workers’ compensation claims annually, refers more than 9,000 cases to mediation, conducts more than 1,800 hearings, handles more than 500 appeals, and processes tens of thousands of motions, orders, and form approvals.

Office of Workers’ Compensation Programs (OWCP)
The OWCP administers four major disability compensation programs, which provide wage replacement benefits, medical treatment, vocational rehabilitation, and other benefits to certain workers or their dependents who experience work-related injuries or occupational diseases.
